About KSALT Director, Cathy Youngblood M. Ed., LDT, SLDS, CALT-QI
Cathy Youngblood is the Director of the Key School Academic Language Therapy (KSALT) Training & Preparation Program, which is one of only five Neuhaus Endorsed training centers in the country.
With twenty-two years in education and dyslexia therapy, she is excited to bring dyslexia therapy training to Tarrant County. As a Licensed Certified Academic Language Therapist and Qualified Instructor, she has provided dyslexia therapy in both public and private settings training teachers, parents, community members and organizations.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education from Southern Methodist University specializing in language therapy. Cathy completed the Learning Therapy Therapist Graduate Specialization Program at Southern Methodist University and was awarded a Certificate of Advanced Supervision in Instruction and Administration. She is a former ALTA CEU Co-Chair and is active in Texas ALTA and the International Dyslexia Association.
Cathy resides in Keller with her husband of 32 years and two grown sons.
